Tidur Sore is an audio and textural exploration of ‘afternoon nap’, or pocket sleep that people sneak amidst the busy and capitalist lifestyle of Jakarta. Presented in a 15-minute slot based experience - the ideal length of a power nap. Through immersive soundscape and familiar textures, participants will be given an opportunity to take a ‘non-mandated sleep’ and inhabit the diverse sleep ecology present in Southeast Asia urban daily life. Here, they will inhabit both the role of a person needing rest to be healthy and productive, as well as, conflictingly, the role of an agent of capitalism that requires others to wake up.
